Job summary

Acquire4Hire is seeking a School-Age Lead Teacher to oversee a high-quality before- and after-school program for children ages 5 to 12. The role supervises daily activities, manages routines, and ensures a safe, engaging environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.

You will communicate with families and school personnel, support homework, and participate in professional development. This position emphasizes positive guidance, inclusivity, and collaborative planning.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have completed high school or equivalent.
• Minimum 240 hours of experience as a group leader, school-age staff, or equivalent.
• Wisconsin Registry Level 3 or higher required.
• One of the following cred/ course options listed in the ad (see details).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and implement age-appropriate activities including academics, recreation, and social development.
• Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Model best practices in classroom management and student engagement.
• Establish and maintain consistent classroom routines and behavior expectations.
• Actively supervise children at all times across indoor/outdoor/transition periods.
• Communicate openly with families and school staff.
• Maintain attendance records and documentation per licensing guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing health and safety standards.
• Support homework and reinforce school-day learning developmentally.
• Address behavior concerns using positive guidance and collaborate with families and administrators.
