Job summary

Berkshire Family YMCA is seeking a qualified School Age Counselor-Group Lead in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This role is pivotal in fostering a safe, engaging environment for school-aged children. Responsibilities include leading a team of counselors, planning educational programs, and enhancing the experience of children in our care.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience working with children, strong leadership skills, and current CPR and First Aid certification. Enjoy part-time work with opportunities for advancement and a fun atmosphere.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with school-aged children in a group setting.
• Min 18 years old.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of counselors in daily activities and programs.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the program.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and evaluations.
