Job description

Our client, a leading national general contractor specializing in mission critical, data center, commercial, and healthcare construction, is seeking an experienced Lead Scheduler to support the delivery of large-scale, complex data center projects across the United States.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction Scheduler, Senior Scheduler, or Lead Project Scheduler looking to take ownership of major construction schedules while working with an established contractor delivering high-profile, technically challenging projects.

Candidates from all construction sectors are encouraged to apply. Previous data center experience is not required, provided you bring strong construction knowledge, advanced Primavera P6 expertise, and a proven background in project scheduling.

The position offers flexibility for candidates willing to travel to project locations or relocate, supported by an attractive compensation package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, management, and maintenance of detailed construction schedules for large-scale mission critical and data center projects.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Collaborate closely with project executives, project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure schedules accurately reflect construction activities and milestones.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement proactive schedule recovery and mitigation strategies.
  • Perform critical path analysis, schedule impact assessments, and progress reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate scheduling activities across multiple trades, construction phases, and project milestones.
  • Support project planning, sequencing, procurement coordination, and resource allocation to maintain project delivery targets.
  • Present schedule updates, progress reports, and potential risks to project leadership.
  • Ensure schedules align with project objectives, contractual requirements, and construction best practices.
Requirements
  • 7–20 years of experience in construction scheduling, project planning, or construction project controls.
  • Advanced proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 is essential.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, trade coordination, and project delivery.
  • Proven experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing complex construction schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, schedule analysis, and delay mitigation.
  • Experience working on large-scale, technically complex construction projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and senior project leadership.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of project schedules and proactively identifying scheduling risks.
  • Open to candidates from any construction background, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, infrastructure, manufacturing, and mission critical construction.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites or relocate for project assignments, depending on the agreed working arrangement.

Data center or mission critical construction experience is advantageous but not essential. Strong P6 skills and a thorough understanding of construction are the key priorities.

Our client offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package designed to reward experienced construction professionals and support long-term career development.

  • Competitive salary package commensurate with experience.
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) – an opportunity to participate in the company's long-term success.
  • Performance-based bonuses providing additional earning potential.
  • Relocation assistance for candidates moving closer to project locations.
  • Per diem allowances for eligible traveling employees.
  • Company vehicle and gas card to support project-related travel.
  • Opportunity to work on major, high-value data center and mission critical construction projects.
  • Long-term career development with a large, established general contractor.
  • Exposure to complex construction programs and opportunities to progress within project controls and scheduling leadership.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Lead Scheduler or Senior Construction Scheduler seeking major project exposure, strong financial incentives, and the flexibility of traveling or relocating for large-scale construction assignments.
