Qualifications

• Education – High School diploma with a certification as a lubrication technician.
• Experience - 3 years’ minimum experience in scaffolding.
• Supervisory Responsibilities - May directly supervise 1 to 5 scaffold builder helpers.
• Language Skills - Ability to read and write English and communicate safety information.
• Mathematical Skills - Basic arithmetic for measurements and quantities.

Responsibilities

• Determines type of scaffold needed.
• Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
• Communicates safety hazards and mitigates hazards prior to construction.
• Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects scaffolding.
• Hoists scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structure.
• Dismantles scaffolding when instructed and stores materials safely.
