Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled supervisor to oversee crews that construct, position, and dismantle wooden structures per blueprints and company standards.

The role requires reading sketches, marking materials, and using carpentry tools with safety as a priority. Expect responsibilities spanning scaffold assembly, form bracing, and site setup with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and interpret sketches, blueprints, or company standards.
• Demonstrates accuracy in measuring and cutting materials.
• Maintains safety and project rules at all times.

Responsibilities

• Oversee crew that builds, positions, and dismantles wooden structures per sketches, blueprints, or company standards.
• Examine materials and tools, and prepare for use.
• Inspect base surfaces for obstructions and ensure proper setup.
• Transport and unload materials as needed.
• Measure and mark boards and timbers for cutting.
• Operate carpentry hand tools and power tools.
• Assemble scaffolding with components per job specs and ensure safe access.
• Brace forms, tie rods, and anchor bolts as required.
• Erect scaffolding and install ladders, handrails, and platforms.
• Rig materials when necessary and perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Adhere to safety rules and project policies; perform other duties as required.
