Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Lead Salvage Associate in Nashville to organize the department and help meet production goals. You will assist in directing daily activities, train staff, and ensure safe, efficient operations in Berry Rd Salvage.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, and strong communication. This role is full-time with benefits package including health insurance and retirement plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
• Strong written and oral communication skills including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and employees.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions for preparing and displaying saleable goods.
• Able to get along well with others and must be a team player.
• Forklift Certification required

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities of employees in the assigned department under supervision.
• Assist in training new and other employees as needed.
• Assist and report productivity of each employee.
• Provide feedback on clients and transitional employees.
• Communicate any problems or needs of employees to the supervisor/manager.
• Assist in ensuring production goals are met.
• Assist in assigning work to best utilize each person’s skills.
• Provide encouragement to employees to increase output
• Follow emergency and safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
