Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Technician in Nashville to perform maintenance and repair on our fleet, including vehicles, trailers, forklifts, and warehouse equipment.

You will conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and welding repairs to extend equipment life. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, experience with electrical system diagnosis, welding, and DOT inspections, plus the ability to operate various equipment and pass a MVR check.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Skilled in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems on trucks and equipment.
  • Welding and cutting skills required.
  • DOT inspections experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate various pieces of equipment.
  • Strong safety and compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair work on vehicles, trailers, forklifts, trucks and warehouse equipment.
  • Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
  • Repair and maintain forklifts and other equipment as assigned.
  • Perform welding repairs and fabricate parts as needed.

## Fleet TechnicianApplylocations: Nashville, TNposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: 18013**Job Location**McNally-Fleet Maintenance**Job Summary:**The Fleet Technician will perform maintenance and repair of all Goodwill Industries vehicles, trailers, forklifts, trucks and other warehouse equipment in an effort to cost effectively ensure safe operations and to prolong the useful life of the equipment.**Job Description****Essential Functions*** Perform repair work on vehicles such as breakdowns, malfunctions and emergency roadside repair in a safe efficient, and quality manner. Comply with all state and federal regulations in regards to vehicle maintenance and repairs.* Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize the safety, productivity, and life of the unit.* Repair and maintain all Goodwill Industries forklifts and other warehouse equipment, as assigned within scheduled time frame, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.* Perform maintenance and repair welding on equipment. Fabricate parts as required including any design work needed.* Be knowledgeable of and comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements, at all times.* Perform DOT inspections.* Perform preventive maintenance on trucks such as fluid changes, lubrications, safety inspections, and brake repairs.* Regular, reliable attendance, as defined in Goodwill’s attendance policy.* Other duties as assigned by management.* Fabricate parts as needed to complete repair including any design work.
