Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is hiring for a General Summary role where you will function as a Cashier and/or Stocker, taking a lead role in the absence of store management and driving customer service excellence. You will help set plan-o-grams, process shipments, stock, and maintain a clean, safe store environment while protecting company assets.

You will greet customers, operate the register, provide accurate checkout, and ensure accountability and efficiency at the front end.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Six months of supervisory experience or related training preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to perform basic math and operate a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise on shelves.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Greet customers and assist with locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and collect payment.
• Keep store clean and organized and maintain safety.
• Authorize refunds and provide cashier accountability in supervisor absence.
