Dollar General Corporation in Piketon, OH, is seeking a Cashier and/or Stocker who can step in as a lead supervisor in the absence of the Store Manager. You will help set and maintain plan-o-grams, provide exemplary customer service, and perform duties to maximize profitability and teamwork while protecting assets.

Key tasks include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, executing plan-o-grams, assisting customers, maintaining cleanliness, operating the cash register, and supporting store

Qualificações

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsabilidades

• Unload trucks according to the prescribed process for the store.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Order zones as assigned by the Store Manager.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Open and/or close the store under direction of area management.
• Authorize refunds and overrides as needed; count register; make deposits.
