Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks a Cashier/Stocker to perform front-end duties, assist in plan-o-gram implementation, and provide exemplary customer service, with leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.

You will unload trucks, stock shelves, assist customers, operate the cash register, maintain cleanliness, and help maintain store security while maximizing profitability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store process.
• Stock merchandise and rotate displays.
• Operate cash register and process payments.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Open/close the store and handle refunds as needed.
