Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a front-line leader to function as a Cashier and/or Stocker, with the ability to act in a lead capacity when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is absent. You will assist in plan-o-gram setup, provide exemplary customer service, and help maximize profitability and teamwork while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, merchandising, operating the cash register, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Know cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Able to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Follow plan-o-gram guidance and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks per store process.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise on shelves.
• Assist customers in locating products.
• Operate cash register and process payments.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Open or close the store as directed.
• Lead cashier responsibilities in absence of management.
