Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks a Cashier/Stocker with leadership potential to support store operations, customer service, and merchandising. You will assist in maintaining plan-o-grams, stock shelves, and lead in the absence of store management while ensuring accuracy at the register and a clean, safe shopping environment.

Experience with cash handling, plan-o-grams, and strong communication is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions and checkout processes.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise; maintain shelves and displays.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, and give change.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and provide friendly service.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organize backroom areas.
• Open/close the store per guidance of Area Manager.
• Support in loss prevention and cash control practices.
