Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a Lead Safety Representative to oversee daily field safety for a data center construction project in Sandston, VA. You will coordinate with site supervision and craft personnel to ensure safe execution of activities and compliance with OSHA standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership of a small onsite safety team, strong communication, incident investigation, and proactive hazard mitigation.

Qualifications

• STS-C, CHST, ASP, or CSP Certification required.
• Degree in Safety or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience.
• Data Center Construction Experience.
• Experience leading site safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for data center construction activities.
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
• Lead and support a small onsite safety team.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Lead Safety Representative

Location: Sandston, VA (15 Minutes from Richmond, VA)
Duration: 6 Months (Start: September 21, 2026)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $60/hr
Per Diem: None - Locals Only
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 48 Hours Per Week
Additional Schedule Details: Occasional Saturday work (8 hours) as needed. Resumes requested ASAP.
