Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Site Safety Manager to oversee safety on project sites in El Paso, TX and coordinate with the Division Safety Manager. The role includes audits, reporting, and strategic EH&S leadership to minimize risk while ensuring compliance with OSHA and internal policies.

The ideal candidate brings CSP, OSHA certifications, and a track record of leading safety teams, with strong communication and organizational skills and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in related field, including employee training experience.
• Min. 2 years’ experience leading and guiding less experienced safety employees.
• OSHA 10hr, OSHA 30hr, OSHA 40hr training required.
• OSHA 500 and CHST certifications required.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Excellent working knowledge of health and safety management systems and OSHA CFR 1926 standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits and inspections and correct hazards for compliance across sites.
• Develop reports and presentations for safety briefings with management.
• Provide strategic direction to improve EH&S performance and minimize risk.
• Enforce corporate safety manual and ensure field employees and subcontractors comply.
• Oversee programs to ensure regulatory compliance and internal policies.
• Guide departmental processes and investigations of accidents; lead safety initiatives.
