Job summary

Sheakley is seeking a Lead Construction Safety Manager in Lebanon, IN to oversee the project safety program for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility build. This 4-month, 1099 contractor role requires hands-on leadership, risk assessments, and collaboration with the General Contractor and owner representatives.

The ideal candidate will bring OSHA 510 and OSHA 30 credentials, 5+ years of construction safety experience, and proven safety management in industrial settings.

Qualifications

• OSHA 510 certification required.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification within past 5 years.
• Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• Previous safety management experience required.
• Experience working directly with owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead onsite safety professional for the project.
• Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding activities.
• Review and manage Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and pre-task plans.
• Perform routine field observations, audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.
• Lead and participate in project safety meetings and planning discussions.
• Work directly with the General Contractor, owner representatives, and project leadership.
• Monitor mechanical construction activities, material handling operations, and contractor work practices.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Maintain required safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Location: Lebanon, IN

Duration: 4 Months (Start: Immediate Need)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $65/hr (Days) or $68/hr (Nights)

Per Diem: $150/Days Worked

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: 40-50 Hours Per Week | Monday-Friday | 8 or 10 Hour Days/Nights

Additional Schedule Details: Two openings available supporting both day and night shift operations.
