Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital in Tulsa is seeking an experienced Lead Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to oversee patient care, support surgeons, and mentor the veterinary support team. You will manage exam rooms, surgeries, dentistry, and outpatient procedures while maintaining high standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as an RVT licensed in Oklahoma, strong communication, and a hands-on coaching style.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) licensed in the state of Oklahoma.
• Previous experience training, mentoring, or supporting the development of veterinary team members preferred.
• Proficiency in skills related to patient care, surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, and outpatient procedures; ability to train team members.

Responsibilities

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Assisting veterinarians with exams, treatments, surgery, dentistry, and patient recovery.
• Providing safe, compassionate patient handling and restraint.
• Training and mentoring veterinary assistants and support staff in patient care, clinical skills, and hospital protocols.
• Supporting onboarding and ongoing team development through hands-on coaching.
• Promoting consistent patient care standards, organized workflows, and effective teamwork.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Educating clients on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared treatment and procedural areas.
