Banfield Pet Hospital in Colorado Springs (Citadel) is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician shift lead to join our care team. You will work under a supervising veterinarian, mentor paraprofessional staff, and help manage client flow, appointments, and hospital operations to ensure high-quality preventive care for pets.

Qualified candidates hold a Veterinary Technician Certification or AVMA‑accredited degree and may have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s in veterinary technology.

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program.

Responsibilities

• Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services, Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care and pet health needs.
• Manage routing the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity of the veterinary medical team.
• Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times, welcoming clients and pets and educating them about their pet’s health.
• With supervising veterinarian approval, perform veterinary technician appointments under veterinarian direction and state law.
• Assist incoming clients with documentation, enter pet history, and ensure prompt service.
• Assist outgoing clients with instructions, invoices, prescription items, retail products and scheduling.

Education
