Job summary

VALCOURT Exterior Building Services of Washington DC LLC is seeking a hands-on roofing helper to support service technicians with roof repairs, maintenance, and inspections on outdoor job sites in Lanham, MD. You will carry tools, set up ladders, and help protect roofs during work.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a willingness to learn roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, shingles). Prior roofing experience is welcome but not required; on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or roofing preferred but not required.
• Able to lift 50–75 lbs regularly.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist roof repairs, maintenance and inspections.
• Carry and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
• Set up ladders and safety gear; protect job sites.
• Identify leaks and problem areas.
• Drive company vehicles to job sites (if qualified).
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Communicate with crew and supervisors.
• Clean roofs before and after repairs.
