Job summary

T&S Roofing Systems, Inc. is seeking a Roofing Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair roofing systems on both residential and commercial properties in Florida.

This full-time role requires hands-on roofing experience, attention to detail, and the ability to identify roofing issues and perform repairs safely and efficiently. The technician will diagnose leaks, perform repairs on various roofing systems including TPO, PVC, metal, shingles, and tile, and document conditions and work performed.

Qualifications

• Previous roofing, construction, or building-maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial and residential roofing systems.
• Ability to identify common roof problems and complete appropriate repairs.
• Ability to safely use roofing tools, ladders, power tools, and fall-protection equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to complete service reports and use a mobile phone or tablet for documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record may be required.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Description

The Roofing Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting residential and commercial roofing systems. This position requires hands-on roofing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to identify roofing issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently.

The Roofing Technician will work closely with supervisors, project managers, customers, and other field employees to ensure that all work meets company standards, manufacturer requirements, and applicable safety regulations. Starting rate is at $21.00 per hour, with compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect roofing systems to identify leaks, damage, deterioration, and other deficiencies.
• Diagnose the source of roof leaks and recommend the appropriate repair.
• Perform roof repairs, maintenance, and minor installations.
• Work with various roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up roofing, metal roofing, shingles, and tile.
• Repair or replace damaged roofing materials, flashing, drains, gutters, sealants, and related components.
• Complete preventative roof-maintenance services.
• Take photographs and document roof conditions before, during, and after completing work.
• Prepare accurate service reports describing the issue, work performed, materials used, and any additional recommendations.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding the condition of their roof and the work completed.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, materials, and assigned vehicles in good working condition.
• Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
• Properly set up ladders, warning lines, fall-protection systems, and work areas.
• Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Notify the supervisor of any additional damage, safety concerns, or work outside the approved scope.
• Assist other roofing crews and departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 to 75 pounds.

• Ability to safely walk and work on sloped and flat roofing surfaces.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position. The Roofing Technician may be required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, overtime, or emergency service calls depending on business and customer needs. 40 hrs. guarantied.

Safety Requirements

The Roofing Technician must comply with all company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements, including fall protection, ladder safety, personal protective equipment, and safe operation of tools and equipment.
