Blue Origin Engines is seeking a senior systems engineer to lead design, integration, verification, and delivery of complex rocket engine systems across the development lifecycle. You will own requirements, perform trade studies, and coordinate gated reviews with cross-functional teams.

This role emphasizes safety analyses, process improvement, and effective communication with customers and internal leadership. U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering or another technical field.
• 5+ years system development/integration experience with complex mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of safety-critical systems engineering methods and tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; team coordination ability.
• Experience with DOORS, DNG, Jama, or similar tools.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead system design and development across lifecycle stages.
• Develop and manage system level requirements.
• Lead systems engineering activities and reviews.
• Create and maintain Concept of Operations documents.
• Own system safety data and verification records.
• Coordinate interfaces and gated reviews; drive risk management.
• Communicate status, risks, and challenges to stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements in systems engineering practices.
