You’ll mentor engineers, drive standards, and champion practical AI adoption while collaborating with hardware, field ops, and leadership to scale the fleet and deliver reliable data from challenging ocean environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in robotics/software, with 5–7 years in commercial production robotics and leadership.
• Robust, modular vehicle software architecture experience.
• Comfort with on-site Richmond, CA and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the vehicle software architecture and modular design across the fleet.
• Lead cross-disciplinary robotics problems end-to-end.
• Set standards for testing, validation, and quality metrics.
• Drive simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and field testing.
• Mentor engineers and drive alignment across robotics, hardware, and software.
• Champion AI adoption within robotics workflows.
