ATCS Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer or Roadway Engineering Project Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of roadway projects across the state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 6+ years of roadway design experience, preferably in Virginia.
• PE license preferred; out-of-state engineers may qualify with commitment to Virginia licensure.
• Experience with MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD); Civil 3D experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of AASHTO, VDOT, and local design standards and practices.
• Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design and delivery of VDOT and municipal roadway projects from concept through construction.
• Develop roadway plans, profiles, typical sections, maintenance of traffic plans, and cost estimates.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and project stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team growth.
• Coordinate with contractors, utility providers, and public agencies.
• Participate in public meetings and drive successful project outcomes.
