Job summary

Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Lead for vascular surgery to deliver expert nursing care within an assigned unit. This role emphasizes assessment, care planning, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will have an active RN license, CPR certification, and relevant clinical certifications; BSN is preferred. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state, CPR, and applicable certifications such as ACLS, NRP, or PALS depending on department.
• Effective interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong customer service capabilities.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, cultural, safety, and discharge needs.
• Develop individualized, patient-specific care plans and set realistic outcome goals with patients and families.
• Implement and evaluate nursing and medical orders, ensuring appropriate care based on the patient's current condition.
• Coordinate care, delegate tasks, and supervise healthcare staff while utilizing independent judgment.
• Participate in hourly rounding and maintaining safety guidelines and work practices.
• Serve as shift supervisor when needed and ensure quality nursing practice.
