Job summary

The Meadows Psychiatric Center in Centre Hall, PA, seeks a Day Shift Nurse Supervisor (RN) to provide administrative and clinical supervision to nursing staff during their shift, promoting quality patient care aligned with the center's philosophy and objectives.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nursing License.
• Previous supervisor/manager experience is highly preferred.
• Genuine interest in Psychiatric Nursing.
• Previous Psychiatric Nursing experience preferred, not required as we provide on the job training and education

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership in organizing the delivery of patient care in an acute psychiatric setting for patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
• Supervise nursing department staff and regularly evaluate staff work performance.
• Make effective decisions regarding patient care in compliance with facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain communication between hospital Administration, Nursing Administration, and department leaders.
• Relieves nursing staff for meal breaks.
