Job summary

Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services seeks a Lead Registered Nurse to manage day-to-day nursing operations across Residential and Day programs. You will supervise staff, manage scheduling, training, and performance evaluations, ensure medication security, and coordinate with physicians and community medical professionals.

The role requires Virginia RN licensure, 3 years RN/LPN experience, at least 1 year with IDD populations, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a Virginia RN license.
• Three years experience as RN or LPN.
• At least one year of experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing operations for Residential and Day programs.
• Manage shift scheduling, staffing, and supervision.
• Provide staff training and conduct performance evaluations/discipline.
• Schedule and order supplies; maintain records; ensure medication security.
• Administer medications and advise on medical plans of care.
• Interface with physicians and community medical professionals; participate in team meetings.
