Job summary

UW Health Beaver Dam Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) in Med Surg for a 60% FTE daytime role. Onsite position with every third weekend and holiday rotation, leading clinical operations and mentoring the nursing team in a 48-bed acute care setting.

The role requires 2+ years inpatient RN experience, BSN preferred, and WI or compact-state RN licensure with CPR/BLS; leadership experience is strongly preferred. Benefits described in posting.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and 2+ years inpatient RN experience required
• 2+ years combined work experience and leadership may be considered in lieu of 2 years in inpatient unit
• 3+ years experience in an acute care inpatient unit preferred
• Licensed RN in WI or compact state required; CPR/BLS certified; national cert preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline nursing operations across units and support safe, high-quality care
• Provide hourly rounds to assess needs and mentor nursing staff
• Coordinate daily operations: staffing, admissions, transfers, discharges, assignments
• Coach and develop nursing teams, promote evidence-based practice and shared governance
• Drive quality and safety using clinical data and performance metrics
• Partner with leaders to implement organizational priorities and expand access in Beaver Dam
