Job summary

Caregiver in Abilene, Texas is seeking a Lead Registered Nurse to blend clinical expertise with leadership. Qualifications

• Active RN license (multi-state preferred).
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• 3+ years of clinical nursing experience.
• 1+ year supporting IDD, developmental disabilities, or long-term care.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with documentation systems (EHR) and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to manage priorities and travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to RNs, LVNs/LPNs.
• Oversee nursing operations and ensure high-quality, person-centered care.
• Coordinate care delivery and ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
• Review assessments, care plans, and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex medical and behavioral cases.
• Partner with physicians, pharmacies, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Lead audits, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of nursing staff.
