Qualifications

• 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in a Critical Care, DOU or SDU setting, or approved equivalent within prior 12 months.
• Registered Nurse License (California).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Basic Arrhythmia course required.
• Ventilator training required.

Responsibilities

• Upholds policies, procedures, and laws; leads health care team and delegates tasks.
• Understands scope of practice and escalates issues as appropriate.
• Mentors, orients, and coaches others in unit operations and patient care.
• Performs nursing care using the nursing process and planned care for patients.
• Develops and communicates individualized plan of care; ensures timely updates.
• Monitors patient progress and revises plans as needed.
• Ensures patient safety, medication administration, and discharge instructions.
• Provides exceptional patient care experience and effective teamwork.
