Job summary

Baptist Health in Montgomery, Alabama is seeking an RN Charge nurse to coordinate patient care on the assigned shift and mentor staff to ensure high-quality service. The Charge Nurse will report to the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager and provide leadership by applying nursing processes and quality improvement standards.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, and a nursing degree with at least 1 year of staff nurse experience; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year staff nurse experience required.
• Active RN licensure required; BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc may be required depending upon area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for quality patient care during the assigned shift.
• Mentor staff and serve as a role model in applying nursing process, quality improvement, and departmental goals and policies.
