Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Rigging Foreman for a Lebanon, IN project. The role supervises crews erecting and operating derricks, hoists, and cranes to move machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.

You will read specifications and blueprints, coordinate with craft workers, and ensure time records and safety rules are followed. Regular travel may be required to support ongoing construction activities and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Rigger journey level minimum with 4+ years of experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Must be able to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers erecting and operating machines to hoist and convey machinery and equipment.
• Specify locations for movement and erection of derricks, hoists, and cranes.
• Direct workers in splicing ropes and metal cables to form hoisting slings.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders for supervision areas.
• Maintain time records and enforce safety regulations.
• Establish work sequences to meet construction schedules using equipment capacities.
• Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion.
• Coordinate movement of equipment and material according to signals and directions.
• Detect and respond to dangerous conditions; perform safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with SIC policies and government regulations.
