Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Revenue Audit Clerk II classifies, records, and verifies numerical and financial data produced by the revenue generating activities of the casino property. The Revenue Audit Clerk II will be a seasoned member of the Revenue Audit staff with comprehensive knowledge of the department functions.
DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: None

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs complex audit and clerical work in connection with the maintenance and preparation of financial records and reports that support the accounting & finance staff.
  • Verifies and records revenue for gaming or non-gaming areas ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assembles, audits, and prepares various casino accounting reports.
  • Provides required support to external auditors, division representatives and Internal Audit.
  • Perform daily revenue audit functions as directed by Revenue Audit Supervisor.
  • Reviews computer printouts against manually kept ledgers and makes corrections and/or issues exceptions.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the industry, this position may be required to work varying schedule to reflect the business needs of the property. Regular attendance in conformance with company standards is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Will abide by all safety requirements as outlined in the Safety Manual or as required by individual departments and/or job functions.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Seasoned knowledge in all casino operations (cage, table games, slot activities, sportsbook) and non- gaming operations (food and beverage, retail, entertainment, and complimentaries) is required. Minimum 2 years of casino revenue audit experience in all areas of audit activities is required. Proficient using standard office equipment including but not limited to: keyboard, 10-key, copier, scanner, printer, filing systems, phone systems and handheld tablets. Possess proficiencies in MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, and Word), SDS, and CMS applications. Must be detail oriented and well organized

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, vendors, and other employees of the organization.

MATHMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply reason, common sense and understanding to effectively carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form is an integral component of the positions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

REQUIRED PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:
Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a license from the Indiana Gaming Commission and the Indiana Horse Racing Commission.


ACCESS TO CONFIDENTIAL/PROPRIETARY INFORMATION:
Access to accounting system and general ledger and CMS.

ACCESS TO GAMING FLOOR:
May require periodic access to general areas of the gaming facility.
