Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Retail Cashier to oversee POS operations, ensure accuracy, and deliver a positive checkout experience for customers at Welkom.

As a lead, you will guide fellow cashiers, manage cash handling procedures, and assist with opening and closing duties while keeping the checkout area clean and welcoming.

This role requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Retail Cashier with reliability and accuracy.
• Lead or supervisory experience is desirable.
• Strong cash handling and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with POS systems.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and stay calm.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions using POS, including sales, returns, exchanges.
• Manage cash drawer, reconcile daily, and follow cash handling policies.
• Provide guidance to other cashiers and resolve minor issues.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures for the cash wrap.
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area.
• Engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
