Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker with lead capacity to support store operations and customer service in the absence of the Store Manager. The role includes processing payments, maintaining plan-o-grams, stocking, merchandising, and ensuring a safe, clean store environment.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and providing exemplary service while following company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Familiarity with cash-handling procedures and cashier accountability.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the prescribed process for the store.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise and build displays; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Operate cash register and total customer purchases; bag merchandise.
