Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an capable Cashier/Stocker to join our store team. In this role you may lead in the absence of the Store Manager, provide exceptional customer service, and assist with plan-o-grams, merchandising and loss prevention.

You will unload trucks, stock shelves, greet customers, operate the register, and help maintain a clean, organized store environment. This full-time position requires teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks per store procedures.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock and display merchandise; rotate stock.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and total purchases.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Greet customers entering the store.
• Open and close the store under direction.
• Authorize refunds in absence of managers.
• Monitor cash levels and deposits as directed.
