Job summary

ServiceMaster CDR is seeking an experienced Lead Fire & Contents Restoration Technician to join our elite team in Ohio. You will perform fire and smoke damage restoration, including demolition, cleaning, contents handling, and equipment setup, while documenting progress and coordinating with homeowners, managers, and adjusters.

The role requires hands-on restoration experience, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lift heavy objects and use PPE.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in fire or smoke damage restoration (residential or commercial).
• Strong work ethic, dependable, positive attitude.
• Solid customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined or challenging spaces, wear PPE as required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Tech-savvy and able to use mobile devices and job-tracking software.
• IICRC FSRT & OCT certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of fire and smoke damage restoration, including demolition, structural cleaning, contents cleaning, equipment setup, pack-outs, and debris removal.
• Safely pack, move, clean, and restore fire-damaged personal belongings and commercial contents.
• Operate restoration tools and equipment, ensuring proper use and care.
• Document job progress, inventory, and customer interactions using restoration software.
• Work with homeowners, property managers, insurance adjusters, and project leads to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow safety procedures, keep worksite clean and organized, maintain vehicles/equipment.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency situations as needed.

What You'll Do

• Perform all aspects of fire and smoke damage restoration, including demolition, structural cleaning, contents cleaning, equipment setup, pack-outs, and debris removal
• Safely pack, move, clean, and restore fire-damaged personal belongings and commercial contents
• Operate a variety of restoration tools and equipment, ensuring proper use and care
• Accurately document job progress, inventory, and customer interactions using restoration software (e.g., Contents Track, iCAT, Restore 365)
• Work directly with homeowners, property managers, insurance adjusters, and project leads to ensure smooth, high-quality service delivery
• Follow safety procedures, maintain a clean and professional worksite, and keep company vehicles and equipment ready and organized
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency situations as needed

What You Bring

• Strong work ethic, dependability, and a positive, can-do attitude
• Solid customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined or challenging spaces, and wear PPE (including respirators) when required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Tech-savvy and able to learn or use mobile devices and job-tracking software
• IICRC FSRT & OCT certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain)
