ServiceMaster DSI in Rockford, IL is seeking a Restoration Crew Chief/ Restoration Supervisor to lead residential and commercial fire and water cleanup and restoration. You will direct, mentor, and coordinate Restoration Technicians on each project.

This role focuses on ensuring timely, high-quality work, managing field staff, and maintaining equipment and safety protocols. Salary starts at $24–$27 per hour with a $500 signing bonus and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration or carpet and upholstery cleaning.
• Crew Chief or supervisory experience in a fire and flood restoration company preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Water Restoration Tech Certification (WRT) preferred.
• Ability to travel out of town.
• Able to move and/or lift 50+ lbs.
• Pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the timely quality completion of assigned restoration cleaning, moving, packing, or general labor projects.
• Directs, aids and supervises the Restoration Techs and Staff Laborers assigned to the Restoration Crew Chief by the Project Manager for each project.
• Ensures competence and quality of the Restoration Techs and Staff Laborers.
• Ensures a continuous increase in the knowledge and skill level (training) of the Restoration Techs and Staff Laborers.
• Ensures the security, integrity, and cleanliness of all company equipment and supplies used on or taken to assigned projects by the Restoration Crew Chief.
• Ensures the productivity of the Restoration Techs and Staff Laborers who are assigned to the Restoration Crew Chief by the Production Manager.
• Ensures all required restoration project documentation, including forms and photo-documentation, is completed in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensures excellent customer communication and relations.
• Perform other duties as required. These may include job functions that are outside the scope of normal job duties.
