Job summary

The Aspenwood Company – Village of Tanglewood is seeking a Dining Room Lead Server to support the daily operation of the dining room and ensure an exceptional experience for residents. You will take orders, coordinate with kitchen staff, and maintain high standards of service.

This full-time role requires evenings and weekends with holidays. A certified food handler within 60 days is required, with a HS diploma preferred and 6 months to 1 year of related experience recommended.

Qualifications

  • Must obtain an accredited food handler certification within 60 days.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for all meals and events.
  • Greet all residents and guests with a smile, ensuring everyone has a comfortable place to sit.
  • Take food orders, present them to kitchen staff, and deliver meals promptly and efficiently.
  • Guarantee the accuracy of orders and check food quality and presentation.
  • Respond swiftly to resident and guest requests, ensuring their dining experience is top-notch.
  • Ensure drinks are poured and refilled in a timely manner.
  • Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards meticulously.
  • Assist with setting tables, removing dirty dishes, disposing of waste, and restocking inventory.
  • Remove all walkers from the dining room to ensure safety and return them immediately after meals.
  • Make each resident and guest feel special, showing genuine pleasure in serving them.
  • Understand the menu fully and be able to explain the selections to residents and guests.
  • Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
  • Attend all required in-service training sessions.
  • Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
  • Take on additional responsibilities with enthusiasm.

The Dining Room Lead Server reports directly to and assists the Director of Dining Venues in supporting the daily operation of the dining room and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our residents.

Pay Rate:

$18.00/hr.

Full Time Schedule:

Evenings and Weekends
