Job summary

The Aspenwood Company - The Village of Southampton is seeking energetic Servers to provide exceptional dining service for residents and guests in a senior living community. You will take orders, deliver meals, maintain room cleanliness, and ensure a positive dining experience.

Candidates should have 6 months to 1 year of related experience, HS diploma or GED, and obtain a state-certified food handler credential within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Accredited food handler certification within 60 days per state guidelines.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure dining room is spotless and well set for meals and events.
• Greet residents and guests and seat them comfortably.
• Take food orders, relay to kitchen, and deliver meals promptly.
• Ensure order accuracy and food quality/presentation.
• Respond to resident/guest requests to enhance dining experience.
• Pour and refill drinks promptly.
• Follow food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Set tables, clear dishes, dispose of waste, restock inventory.
• Move walkers from dining room for safety and return after meals.
• Make residents/guests feel special with genuine service.
• Understand the menu and explain selections to residents/guests.
• Maintain appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene standards.
• Attend in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community emergency response team.
• Maintain professional appearance per company policies.
• Take on additional responsibilities with enthusiasm.

Schedule : Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for all meals and events.
• Greet all residents and guests with a smile, ensuring everyone has a comfortable place to sit.
• Take food orders, present them to kitchen staff, and deliver meals promptly and efficiently.
• Guarantee the accuracy of orders and check food quality and presentation.
• Respond swiftly to resident and guest requests, ensuring their dining experience is top-notch.
• Ensure drinks are poured and refilled in a timely manner.
• Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards meticulously.
• Assist with setting tables, removing dirty dishes, disposing of waste, and restocking inventory.
• Remove all walkers from the dining room to ensure safety and return them immediately after meals.
• Make each resident and guest feel special, showing genuine pleasure in serving them.
• Understand the menu fully and be able to explain the selections to residents and guests.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the communitys emergency response team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
• Take on additional responsibilities with enthusiasm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
