Job summary

The Ford Foundation seeks an Associate Director, Responsible AI Solutions, to lead ethical AI initiatives across the IT organization in New York. You will partner with the CITO and senior leaders to shape and scale the foundation's AI strategy, governance, and adoption.

You will drive portfolio management, vendor assessment, and capacity-building efforts to ensure responsible AI transformation across departments, aligning with mission and values.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related professional experience in AI and technology leadership.
• Proficient in Python and AI frameworks with hands-on ML/DL experience.
• Experience with Generative AI and large-scale deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI strategy and portfolio management across cross-functional teams.
• Develop and deploy ethical AI solutions aligned with mission and values.
• Draft and enforce Responsible AI guidelines and safety policies.
• Evaluate models for performance, bias, privacy, and efficiency.
• Manage AI vendors, partnerships, and budgets within approved scope.
• Foster organization-wide AI literacy and responsible innovation.
