Job summary

HCA Florida Capital Hospital is seeking a Lead Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shifts. The role provides cardiopulmonary care across routine, clinical, and emergency settings and offers leadership to staff in the Director's absence. Requires state-registered RRT and 5+ years of experience.

The hospital is a 288-bed acute-care facility with 24/7 Emergency Services in Leon and Gadsden Counties, offering comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities for dedicated colleagues.

Qualifications

• RRT - State Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in respiratory care.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 60 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiopulmonary/pulmonary care services in routine, clinical, and emergency settings according to physician orders and department policies.
• Offer day-to-day leadership to the Respiratory Therapy department in the absence of the Director.
• Support delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care aligned with departmental goals.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Lead Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary/pulmonary care services in routine, clinical, and emergency settings according to specific physician orders, department policies and procedures providing leadership to the staff. In the absence of the Director of Respiratory Therapy provides day to day leadership to the department, and performs a variety of management duties. Supports the delivery of high quality, cost effective patient care through activities focusing on departmental goals and objectives.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associate Degree in Respiratory Care / Therapy
• RRT - State Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in respiratory care
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
