Job summary

Avera St Mary's Hospital is hiring a Respiratory Therapist/leader for a day shift in Pierre, SD. You will coordinate clinical procedures, guide staff, and align patient plans with physician orders across neonatal, pediatric, and adult care areas.

You will review policies, mentor staff, and ensure safe, compliant respiratory care including CPT, nebulizers, IPPB, and monitoring. The role emphasizes teamwork, confidentiality, and patient dignity.

Qualifications

• The individual must be able to work the hours specified and perform all essential job functions with adequate vision and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of immediate and future goals and objectives for the unit.
• Assist with review and revision of operating policies and procedures.
• Review patient care plans with direct caregivers to suggest interventions.
• Communicate frequently with staff and report feedback to the Leader.
• Serve as a resource to Respiratory Department employees and assist with orientation.
