Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is a 122-bed, general acute care community hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut, serving as a regional healthcare resource for the 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. CHH offers personalized attention from an expert team of caregivers and physicians who utilize advanced technology and clinical partnerships in a convenient, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
The Lead Respiratory Therapist performs at the level of a highly competent advanced practitioner of respiratory care. Therapists promoted to this level function in a core or resource role, with expertise and skills in a specialized clinical area with complex patient acuity. They demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
Education: Bachelor's Degree from an AMA-approved Respiratory program (must obtain within 3 years of hire). An Associate's Degree may be considered based on experience and criteria at the discretion of the Director and Human Resources. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as an RRT with advanced knowledge through additional training and certifications.
