Job summary

South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd. seeks a Principal Resource Geologist for the Hermosa Project site near Patagonia, Arizona. You will lead Mineral Resource modelling, ensure data integrity, and support critical business decisions with accurate resource evaluations.

The role requires a B.Sc. or higher in Geology and at least 15 years in geology, including resource and mine geology, with competency as a Mineral Resource CP and strong JORC knowledge. Collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of geology experience including resource and mine geology.
• Experience as Mineral Resource Competent Person.
• Strong knowledge of JORC code and mineral economics.
• B.Sc. or higher in Geology.
• Experience with resource modelling and estimation.

Responsibilities

• Define mineral inventory and resource base for operations.
• Assist with exploration work programs.
• Provide geoscientific expertise to operations.
• Undertake timely reporting and declaration of Mineral Resources.
