Job summary

Coastal Builders in Orange, CA is seeking a Working Foreman for residential remodeling projects. You will lead a crew, supervise site activities, and remain hands‑on in the field to ensure quality and schedule adherence.

The role requires 6+ years in residential remodeling, journeyman trade-capability, and proven management of crews, materials, and subcontractors. Proficiency with Bluebeam and construction drawings is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of verified residential remodeling experience with references.
• Journeyman-level expertise in at least one trade.
• Experience running a working crew and overseeing residential construction projects.
• Experience scheduling crews, ordering materials, managing subcontractors, and completing inspections.
• Strong knowledge of construction codes and compliance requirements.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans/drawings.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with scheduling and estimating software.
• Residence within 30 minutes of the City of Orange, with occasional on-site presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute residential remodeling projects, including framing, drywall, flooring, tile, cabinetry, and finish work.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Perform ongoing construction inspections and quality-control checks.
• Supervise construction site activities and coordinate daily work with crew members and subcontractors.
• Schedule work, order materials, coordinate subcontractors, and help ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
