Job summary

Carolina Air is seeking a Residential HVAC Lead Installer to oversee installation projects, mentor junior staff, and ensure top-quality workmanship on every job. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, safety, and exceptional customer service across residential HVAC systems.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of residential HVAC experience, EPA certification, and strong communication skills to explain system operation to homeowners while maintaining efficiency on-site.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation of residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and IAQ products.
• Read and interpret blueprints, load calculations, and installation plans.
• Ensure installations meet company standards, manufacturer specs, and local codes.
• Train, coach, and support install apprentices and junior technicians.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners to explain system operation and answers questions.
• Maintain accurate job documentation, including materials used and job completion notes.
• Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized at all times.
• Troubleshoot installation challenges and provide effective solutions.
