About the Role

Aaron Overhead Doors is looking for an experienced Lead Residential Garage Door Installer who can take ownership of high-level residential installations from start to finish.

We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of professional garage door installation experience who is already comfortable handling the types of installations that require more experience, planning, and precision.

Our customers expect quality workmanship and professionalism. We need an installer who can walk onto a job, evaluate the installation, identify potential issues, make good decisions in the field, and deliver a finished product that meets a high standard.

What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Residential Garage Door Installation: Independently install residential garage doors, track systems, hardware, springs, operators, and related components.
  • High-Lift, Complex & Custom Installations: Handle high-lift systems and installations that go beyond standard replacement work, including unusual framing conditions, limited-clearance applications, custom track configurations, oversized doors, and other jobs requiring advanced installation skills and field problem-solving.
  • High-End Residential Projects: Perform installations in custom and luxury homes where craftsmanship, attention to detail, property protection, appearance, and professionalism are especially important.
  • Jobsite Evaluation & Problem Solving: Evaluate site conditions, identify installation challenges, and adapt to unexpected conditions in the field. Use experience and sound judgment to resolve issues whenever possible and keep the installation moving. Communicate promptly when an issue cannot be safely or properly resolved in the field, including incorrect materials, site conditions, or changes that affect the original scope.
  • Quality Control: Verify proper door balance, track alignment, clearances, hardware and fastener installation, safety systems, operator settings, and overall operation before completing the job.
  • Customer Experience: Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and other trades while protecting the customer's property and maintaining a clean jobsite.
  • Leadership: Set the standard for workmanship, efficiency, and professionalism while providing direction to helpers or less-experienced installers when assigned to the job.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years of professional garage door installation experience.
  • Proven ability to independently complete residential garage door installations.
  • Experience with high-lift and specialty track configurations.
  • Experience with complex and high-end installations, including full-view aluminum/glass doors, oversized or heavy doors, and custom or specialty doors.
  • Strong knowledge of torsion systems, track configurations, operators, hardware, and proper door balance.
  • Ability to evaluate challenging site conditions, adapt in the field, and resolve installation issues without constant supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Professional communication skills appropriate for working with homeowners, builders, and other trades.
  • Ability to lead and provide direction to a helper or less-experienced installer.
What Success Looks Like

A successful Lead Installer can be given a complex residential installation and be trusted to plan it, execute it, troubleshoot it, and finish it correctly without needing constant supervision.
