Job summary

IES Residential is seeking a Residential Electrical Leadman in Alamogordo, NM to lead a crew of electricians while performing installations on new single-family homes. You will ensure safety, quality, and code compliance on active residential sites.

Required: NM licensure (Residential Wireman or Journeyman), 4–6 years in residential electrical work, and leadership experience. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; valid license and reliable transport required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of residential electrical experience.
• At least 1 year in a leadership or crew lead role.
• Current New Mexico Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license (Required).
• Strong knowledge of NEC, blueprint reading, material takeoffs, and residential wiring practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English (Required).
• Bilingual English/Spanish (Preferred).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in daily electrical tasks including layout, rough-in, and trim-out phases.
• Supervise and support electricians and apprentices on job sites
• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and blueprints
• Enforce IES Residential safety policies and OSHA requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, builders, and team members
• Maintain accurate timekeeping, work orders, and material usage documentation
• Ensure installations meet IES quality standards and inspection requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
