IES, a leading industrial services provider, is seeking a Lead Residential Electrician to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems on client sites. You will read blueprints, ensure safety, and coordinate with crews, vendors, and departments to meet project goals.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, quality workmanship, and adherence to electrical codes while maintaining accurate documentation and strong customer communication.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical documentation.

• Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing equipment, and related systems.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and electrical codes.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings such as background and motor vehicle record checks.
• English speaking, reading, and writing preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
• Maintain professionalism and a positive, respectful demeanor with customers, coworkers, and business partners.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment.
• Review project plans, specifications, and work orders to support accurate project execution.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes.
• Coordinate with employees, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding project activities and operational needs.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to electrical work and project activities.
• Support project timelines and assist with resolving operational concerns in the field.
• Monitor equipment, materials, and job site conditions to support operational efficiency and safety.
• Assist with supporting and training less experienced technicians as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and effective communication throughout all customer and operational interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
