Job summary

Leola Construction is seeking a Concrete Superintendent to oversee residential concrete operations, including slab-on-grade and post-tension foundation pours for single-family homes. You will lead crews and subcontractors, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to schedule and budget across multiple subdivisions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of concrete superintendent or foreman experience in residential construction, plus hands-on knowledge of post-tension slab systems and familiarity

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of concrete superintendent or foreman experience in residential construction.
• Hands-on knowledge of post-tension slab systems, including cable layout, stressing and inspection requirements.
• Familiarity with Texas soil conditions (expansive clay, coastal soils) and foundation methods to address them.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; OSHA 10-Hour Certification preferred; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and hold crews and subcontractors accountable to high-quality workmanship and a safe jobsite.
• Oversee daily concrete operations across multiple residential jobsites, including slab-on-grade and post-tension foundations.
• Own every phase of slab construction: site prep, grading, form setting, vapor barrier, termite treatment, cable layout, rebar, pour, finish, stressing.
• Coordinate directly with builder superintendents, post-tension engineers, ready-mix suppliers, pump operators, and subcontractor crews to keep production flowing.
• Conduct site inspections and progress reviews, identifying issues with soil conditions, moisture, form alignment, and cable placement before they impact the pour.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes, inspections, and engineer specifications.
• Communicate clearly with project managers, builder partners, and office staff, providing daily updates, photos, and reports.
