Job summary

JOMA Construction LLC is seeking a Residential Lead Carpenter in Athens, GA to lead on-site carpentry tasks from demolition to millwork, ensuring quality and safety. You will report daily to the main office, clock in and out in project management software, and coordinate with the Production Team to complete tasks on schedule.

The role requires strong carpentry skills and the ability to read plans, measure accurately, and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in general construction and carpentry.
• Experience in framing, decks, windows, doors, siding, and millwork.
• Good communication and willingness to ask questions when in doubt.
• Ability to read plans and scale off them as needed.
• Ability to receive instructions and follow directions.
• Basic math skills.
• Clean driver's license, background check, and drug test.
• Abide by OSHA safety protocols; PPE when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Report to the main office each morning for daily assignments.
• Clock into each job and task in project management software.
• Review assigned tasks at job sites.
• Clarify instructions with the Production Team as needed.
• Perform demolition, framing, siding, millwork, and cabinetry tasks.
• Communicate progress updates to the on-site Project Manager at day end.
• Maintain safe, organized, and clean job sites daily.
• Maintain vehicle inventory of tools and safety materials.
• Attend OSHA safety meetings and complete assigned training.
